Trying To Plan A Visit..Need To Know Safest And Most Convenient Location ((Area)) To Stay

Hello, I am trying to plan a visit to the Houston Area. I would like to know what area/location is the safest and most convenient area for me and the gentlemen that would like to visit with me. I do not have a car so needs to be an area located next to places to shop and dine...Thanks xoxoxo

That's not a bad idea....... but I don't think it would stop most.... seems like its a "dip a toe in the waters" type of thread for most pondering visiting.... But a sticky may still be nice for those truely wanting to know....
