Balls or Links???

Ms. Athena's Avatar
Im looking for me some lip smacking Balls and Links.....Boudin that is......Im in Baton Rouge and Laffy and need advice where I can slurp me some good olo cajun cooking as well as pack me some Balls for the road. Best brands and where to buy at?........Slurp~~
Some natives might know some secret locations....but here are my notes for laffy.

Not sure if these are the best but they are very good and plenty of inventory of everything: http://www.donsspecialtymeats.com/ (Scott - just west of Laffy.)

Less selection but spicier boudin links from this place: Billeaud Grocery 111 E Main St, Broussard, LA, United States
I think this location is related: Billeaud's Too 1512 Weeks Island Road New Iberia, LA 70560

Some people swear by Billy's but I like the others better. (also in Scott and maybe other locations): http://www.billysboudinandcracklin.com/

Earl's is good too. I've not had the boudin' there but there is always people lined up when I'm there getting lunch. https://plus.google.com/112980435165506046561/about?gl=pe&hl=en
If you are traveling west from BR to Laff take the Scott/canton exit take a right go maybe a mile to the One Stop on the left
Don's Specialty Meats in Scott, La. Yes!!

What's a cajun 7-course meal? A pound of boudin and a 6-pack of beer.
For Boudin Balls...Tony's Seafood on Plank road. For Boudin Links...Jerry Lee's on Greenwell springs

I agree with duckdog. Scott exit north about 1 mile. Little red and white building in the left. It's called "Best Stop"
