I've been a lurker here for awhile and today I set up my first appointment in Austin. I've "hobbied" overseas but never in the US. I ran into an issue with my first Austin appointment which raised a few questions for me. I thought I'd post here and see what y'all have to say.
I contacted a provider (she advertised on eccie a couple days ago) on her preferred email address as her ad directed. The ad did not request sending screening data so I expected that her response would. Or that she'd at least want to speak on the phone with me. But no. She set the appointment and gave me her incall address, and her phone number, just like that, via email. The only information she had about me was a yahoo email address. I'm having second thoughts about seeing her because that seems more than a bit reckless to me. Perhaps she's a security concern, I don't know. But I thought I'd get some of your perspectives about this. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill.
Here's a little more detail. The provider in question has been a local provider for over a year based on various reviews and threads. She was listed as at least one person's ATF in a thread on that subject in co-ed awhile back. So she's not a newbie.
Guys (more so to men with an established career and family), would you see a provider who didn't screen? I mean nobody likes the hassle right? Does it provide some mutual security or is it all to the beneift of the provider? Do I have anything to fear in this scenario?
Ladies, what would you tell a friend who was thinking about seeing a provider who didn't screen - not even the least amount?
I haven't named the provider because I'm not sure doing so is worthwhile or within board guidelines. Please advise.
