The Police playing judge, jury, and executioner does not excite me. Robots carrying tear gas sounds like a much better option if the suspect does not have a gas mask. What do you think?

In this case I'm fine with mustard gas or phosgene. You know, something to induce extreme pain then seizures. Vaporization was just too merciful for the varmint.

Honestly, I think the guy deserved a fair trial. I am not trying to second guess the Dallas Police Department, but I do feel for our combat veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and other wars. I know some come back home and suffer from PTSD and do not get the help they need. Help is out their for them but alot of them will not get help.
I guess the robot can hold a bomb, but not a tear gas canister?

...but even if he had not previously been a lowlife, even if he had been a legitimate combat vet, even if he were a MOH recipient, I would still agree with lethal force being used on him, regardless of the delivery method. Anyone who commits an act as heinous as his forfeits his right to continued existence...even if he were my brother (not no damn bruh or brer or whatever horseshit).

...as for tear gas...would you run up on the killer all gas masked up and rattlin' with armor? Why don't you just shoot the gun out his hand instead? Just like some old western movie, right? Or if you were a popo commander, responsible for the lives of your men...who you sending in?

The Russians used fentanyl gas during the Moscow terrorist attack in 2002...shitload of collateral casualties.

He had the opportunity to walk out with his hands up therefore it was his choice to die.

Nothing new about police with robots.
Been using them for a variety of tasks for years.
I believe they used the same charge used to detonate suspicious packages.
They probably figured it would disorient him long enough to move in and detain him.
Oh well, I guess it killed him.

Some of you fucks are part of the problem.

So now it's okay for the Secretary of State to break laws endangering us and lie under oath to Congress. And you guys want to give in to a cop killer with clearly planned out intentions.

Did anybody ever think that just maybe the Police believed he had bomb on him .During negotiations he did day he had bombs planted all around.
When they went into his house they found bomb making materials . Clearly he was planing a much bigger attack but was pissed about the most recent killings and went off a mass shooting spree.
What the hell do you expect when you go on a shooting spree? A welcome wagon?

IMHO they saved the taxpayers a lot of money by him choosing to die rather than give himself up.
If he wanted a trial and justice, all he had to do was stop shooting put his hands up, lie on the ground and tell them he surrendered.

What was the count of police officers he assassinated:? He was an active shooter and an immediate threat. How many times have you seen videos of criminals that did not stop even after tazed and or gassed.

The Dallas police force did what had to be done to make things safe not only for themselves but for the general public that he also hit with his fire.

He had a choice and he chose to die. End of story.

In the you have to break some eggs to make omelets realm. It will be interesting to see if this method gets used in a couple more unsympathetic cases, and it becomes a bigger negotiation tool. In that some individuals are scared of being blowing into pieces as opposed to being shot.

The little robot comes in with or without an active bomb, does it mitigate situations a little quicker and with less death due to the quicker resolutions without the need to blow anyone up. Or on the flip side does it increase hostage situations to protect against the bomb-bots? Could go either way.
