Why is BP Canada Blocked from the US?

I have googled and searched for answers but not much comes up except referenced articles about backpage and human trafficking and prostitution. However Backpage is not just ads about sex but is like other classifieds that. Also is there a way to get around it?

All non-US BP have been blocked. There was a thread about it in the main forum I believe. Someone posted a link to get around it.

Thanks, I've tried it but it will eventually freeze and hang up either on the backpage main site, the specific Canada BP site or a sub category like "escorts"... BTW I'm using a windows 10 with Microsoft Edge browser but not sure if that has any bearing on it.
