Another BBQ thread

Q39 is opening its 2nd restaurant on Monday the 14th in Overland Park.
11051 Antioch Rd (between 110th and College - the old Haywoods)
Or: About halfway between and East of the Doubletree and West of the Marriott

Amazing that a hotel chef is seriously kicking azz with the bbq he used to throw down at a Northland Airport Hotel several years ago.

I'll have to check it out. I was asking someone about good bbq places. Yum!

BB's is still my favorite. Perhaps not the 'best' BBQ (of course thats debatable regardless) but definitely the most unique flavor profile and IMO the best atmosphere around.

Q39 is the bomb

Q39 is good. I guess everyone has their favorite. I think it's always fun to check out one I've not been in. SLAP's is one of those surprises. Burnt Ends is nice too.

I'm not saying Q39 is outmatched just that it's fun to try other places when you're in town. I'll will definitely check out the Q's new location

My favorite is not one others rate as the best. It's Smokehouse.

Took a friend to Char Bar last week, she loves the fried pickles. I had never been. It was very good.
