I guess the Wingnuts are so busy whining about Obama that they have lost sight of what it takes to achieve solidarity among their own dwindling numbers.

America's Anorexic Sweetheart -- no not Hating Kayla -- ANN COULTER, is all over Marco Rubio like flies on shit.

here's what one of our favorite conservative (snick) news sources reported about the Tea Party pandering presidential hopeful from Florida.

ANN COULTER: MARCO RUBIO 'LYING' ABOUT IMMIGRATION 'LIKE DEMOCRATS'
by MATTHEW BOYLE

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Governm...e-Democrats-do

In a column published late Wednesday, conservative author Ann Coulter ripped Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) for his support of the “Gang of Eight” immigration reform bill.

“When Republicans start lying like Democrats, you can guess they are pushing an idea that's bad for America,” Coulter wrote in a piece headlined: "If Rubio’s Amnesty is So Great, Why Is He Lying?"

“During his William Ginsburg-like tour of the Sunday talk shows last weekend, Sen. Marco Rubio was the Mount Vesuvius of lies about his immigration bill,” Coulter continued.

Coulter quoted Rubio from Fox News Sunday, explaining his border security enforcement mechanism – something she described as a “merely meaningless goal.”

"Basically, Homeland Security will have five years to meet that goal,” Rubio said on Fox. “If after five years, Homeland Security has not met that number, it will trigger the Border Commission, who will then take over this issue for them.”
Coulter rejected this explanation entirely. “So the water torture awaiting the Department of Homeland Security if it fails to secure the border is ... ANOTHER GOVERNMENT COMMISSION WILL BE CREATED!” Coulter snarked, “Take that, Homeland Security! Ha -- we have you now! The only thing more frightening than ‘another government commission’ is a ‘strongly worded letter.’”

As Breitbart News has detailed, according to the Gang of Eight themselves, that commission only has six months to draft a report on border security if the Department of Homeland Security fails, and if the commission does not meet the 180 day deadline, the plan goes right back to the Department of Homeland Security
.
Coulter argued that Rubio offers no way to keep illegal immigrants off of welfare programs. “In California -- which will be America if Rubio's plan goes through -- 82 percent of households headed by an illegal immigrant are on welfare, as are 61 percent of households headed by legal immigrants, according to the March 2011 Current Population Survey by the Center for Immigration Studies,” Coulter wrote. “If you think Republicans are Hispandering now, wait until the children of 20 million illegal aliens start to vote. Rubio's amnesty isn't just bad for America, it's the end of America.”

After Rubio’s tour of seven Sunday news shows this weekend, he has engaged in another charm offensive this week. He has been appearing on conservative talk radio and courting major conservative leaders about this bill since it was released. Most of the conservative hosts have been sharply skeptical toward Rubio. He has clearly not gotten to Coulter, but only time will tell if other stalwarts in the conservative media will trust his arguments as the details of the bill keep seeping out.
It will be interesting to see who has dwindling numbers in 2014 when Obama Care kicks into effect.

with all due respect, gym rat, this thread has nothing whatsoever to do I with Obamacare.

It's about immigration reform.

Moreover, it's about how the "Real" conservatives, like Ann Coulter, are ripping GOP presidential hopefuls for not being to the right of Attilla the Hun.

Hence my point that the GOP continues to slide into the morass.

Obamacare is the law of the land. Whine all you want, but paranoia is just another indicator that the right is in splinters.

You want to bitch and moan about health care vs other Sky is Falling panics in recent years, start another thread.
With all due respect, you mentioned dwindling numbers in your thread, and I commented on it. Democrats are doomed to the same fate with Obama Care. Unions are already coming forward and calling for it's demise. Democratic Senator Max Baucus who helped write the bill is on record saying it is a train wreck and will pose problems for Dems in 2014. Don't set your hopes to high for a complete unraveling of conservative quite yet. Your party may very well be embroiled in a similar divide.

Democrats have always been fragmented and chaotic. But in spite of Obamacare, the GOP will not have a suitable candidate for President, because of barking dogs like Coulter.

what's your take on Rubio? liar or not?

They have currently lost 4 of the last 6 Presidential elections and were it not for the Bush v Gore Supreme Court decision and/or the influence of Ralph Nader on the Florida ballot, they could have easily lost all 6.

I don't know if I agree with Coulter...but thought it unsurprising that she came out and trashed him.

the GOP is so frightened of the Tea Party that aspirants will continue grapplings to get to he right of each other. Rubio may be politically savvy, but won't win the hearts and minds of the overwhelmingly Mexican-American southwestern and western Hispanic populations, like Cruz was unable. Mainly for cultural reasons. If he were to switch parties, he'd have a better chance.

Unless the GOP quickly and significantly moves back to the center, it is, like you say, doomed to another generation of presidential failure.
