WITHOUT MENTIONING TRUMP IN ANY MANNER, INCLUDING HIS FIRST RUN AS POTUS.
OK, so taking Trump out of the equation, why should I vote for harris/walz. This thread is all about harris/walz, not Trump.
Harris didn’t incite a failed transfer of power
Harris didn’t terribly mishandle Covid
Harris isn’t a racist antisemite mysogonist
Harris isn't a puppet of Putin
Harris isn't a felon with additional crimes yet adjudicated
I'm sure I could come up with many more. Originally Posted by 1blackman1

Harris/Walz is the better ticket. Period.
At the end of the day, choices are made for that reason.
Remove the choice from the decision and you really don’t get to make one. Originally Posted by Yssup Rider

The question is why we should respond at all. The amount of hatred radiating off this thread is quite palpable.
I’ll try to answer your question but contrasting the two candidates is the usual approach when deciding on your candidate.
In my case here are some of the things that I like about Harris.
1: She’s a lawyer and lawyers tend to view their jobs with that in mind. A chief executive that follows the law is better than one who doesn’t.
2: She’s a bad liar. I like it when it’s better for our leaders to tell the truth.
3: She’s not a Washington insider.
4: She’s a believer in NATO and the current world order.
5: As a woman of color she has a real understanding of both racism and sexism.
6: She listens to experts and usually understands what they are talking about.
7: She’s in good health both physically and mentally.
8: At 59 years of age she is not yet a senior citizen.
9: She believes in science.
These are just off the top of my head. I’m sure I’ll think of more. Originally Posted by txdot-guy

Here, let me simplify this. Say I'm an indy voter who hasn't made up his mind who to vote for yet. Without mentioning or hinting at Trump, tell me why I should vote for harris. Don't sell me by using Trump, sell me on harris using her history and her values. Originally Posted by DEAR_JOHN

In this situation I was thinking about Obama and seeing some of the same qualities in Harris and just listing them in the post. I wasn’t even thinking about Trump.
Maybe Obama is the anti-Trump? Originally Posted by txdot-guy
