Hey I'm back in your city thread (not physically in your city YET) but I had a question for the gentlemen and the ladies. I'm open for all aspects of the idea.

When You first meet someone is it ideal for the setting to be romantic or for it to be more casual. I have a few friends who prefer to have candles curtains closed soft music playing.

Do you think it matters?

Branding matters in this business just like any other. If you want to make it romantic because we say... Oh yeah make it romantic, but that's not really your image, you want to be the porn star, or give folks the casual experience with lots of professional distance...then you put yourself in an uncomfortable position. Fake is always bad.

If you just poll what the city likes, without considering where your provider image is, then you have it backwards I think. Unless you're just posting a threAD. In which case I understand

Someone who quotes Coco Chanel on her website would seem to have a good handle on what image she wants to portray

Personally, I only like the "romance" angle if I'm vetting a provider for a longer term relationship where I expect some wining and dining. However, the "seduction" angle is always a good thing... stockings and heels (which... your showcase seems to account for), etc. I think that's different than romance. If you want to portray romance to me, then you'll have to break that illusion to keep distance... just my thoughts.

Your mileage may vary.

Image is important. Totally agree with the above post. Decide what your niche is, what aspect of this game you're best at and own it.
I change it up a lot but I do go the extra mile when I have guests over. I have all my regulars fav (plus a lot of universally enjoyed tunes) music stations on pandora playing and candles burning, lingerie on and always offer a beverage and several amenities and warm washcloths yada yada yada .... Just have the setting be alluring and sexy... Like a dream for them When I do oc I am always amazed at the ideas these gentlemen think of. And I love it!!
I absolutely love to spend time in a comfortable setting where attention to detail matters.

Put Miss Gemma in that environment wearing sexy lingerie and it is a dream.

I appreciate a lady taking the time and effort to be better than the rest and do the things that make a session a dream.

Most typically do enjoy my romantica atmosphere.

I just wonder if some men actually want the sit have coffee type situation (or tea or happy hour, what ever the time may be) but are too shy or intimidated to say anything or request it.

Professional distance is a particular hazard in this business, as sometimes people can confuse your romantica with genuine romantic interest.

I like the fantasy of seduction better (certainly a line I think exists), and I think it fits providers well. But that's certainly a choice everyone has to make. Seduction says you want me physically and romance says you want me emotionally... one is a lot more dangerous, but we might be just talking about semantic differences at this point Seduction as an art form is lost on MANY providers... its frustrating...

Guess folks will have to find out for themselves if your technique is good!
