The sophos app is a free app that can remotely lock and/or wipe your android phone via text. Check it out, its free and could save you some grief if your 2nd phone is found.
The secure wipe also remotely wipes any SD card you have in the remote phone and allows you to display a message on the screen like "Jons phone is locked" or whatever you want if your name happens to be Jon.
