Question of the day , The electric cow?

I used the thread voodoo on this one but I want an answer bad! I'm dying to see this live.

What’s the game at the rodeo called that has an electric cow? I think it is some kind of a ride. The name of this is not on the little rodeo map they handout, maybe it is I just don’t know the name. Ok, this is the best way I can describe it. There is a little fenced corral and in the center there is what looks like an electric cow in the center of the corral. The electric cow is plugged into the wall and a there is a person controlling the on / off button. The objective of the game is to mount the electric cow and then the electric cow starts bucking wildly while the rider attempts to stay on and prevent himself from being thrown flailing in the air in a violent manner. The rider holds on to a horn as a western saddle ( I don’t think the saddle is English, as it has a horn) has in order to prevent his or her being tossed off into the air and landing like an idiot. I’ve seen this electronic cow in an old old movie called Gillies with John Travolta in it. What is the name of this game or ride and do they have this in the Houston Rodeo? I would very much like to see this live.




I know they have real livestock and it is part of the Houston Rodeo. The poor rider is chased in the arena and possibly impaled by the animal. The rider is armed with nothing but a clown and a barrel. I do not think the rider is even given a sword like a matador. Nevertheless I would like to see the electronic cow ride. If you know the name of this ride please tell me. I would very much like to see this ride. What is the name of this game and is it on the Rodeo map? I know the Spanish word for the animal but not the English one. Google translate gave me the word Buffalo but I don’t think it’s correct. Thank you.

I think they are just called mechanical bulls, not sure if they have one at the rodeo though.

Jasmin the movie is "Urban Cowboy" and was shot in PasaDena. The name of that machinery is "Mechanical Bull"

It's not a pony, its a...something.....It's not as big as a real pony but bigger than a miniature horse. Maybe like a medium wide pony.
