Switter shut down by Assembly 4

So - Switter was housed in Australia, where there were a lot of legal grey areas as far as things like this go.
That's why they were in Australia to begin with - they used to use American services until SESTA/FOSTA forced them to relocate.

Australia was one of the last places this stuff could be hosted outside of legal grey areas, and now there's basically nowhere else to go.

Last I checked, people can't control what other people put on the internet. But it looks like they're trying to do just that...

Assembly 4 also owns Tryst, which many gentlemen here and ladies use to forge connections with one another.
What is going to happen when Assembly 4 is then forced to shut down Tryst?
And after Tryst, STG? EscortBabylon? Listcrawler?
I do not personally use Switter. But I am worried about what this means for the future of navigating our world and finding one another.

For now, it is "just" sex workers. But this is 100% mass censorship.

Completely agree with Valkyra.
This is just the beginning to broad censorship. If the sites really want to be active, then they have to move the servers to Gibraltar, the Caribbeans, or something equivalent. Of course, credit card processing with be fucked.

That's what happened with Rubmaps in 2019. That time, the site was down for a month and after that they were back online (from Gibraltar).

I think this entire industry will move to darkweb in the next 5 years. Might as well pre-order your "Darkweb for Dummies" now.
