Tonight some Southeast Texans want to raise awareness about human trafficking right here in our community. Their goal is to start a task force here in Southeast Texas....

"Houston is the international hub for human trafficking, and that's one of the reasons is it's got an international airport," said Daigle.
Her reasoning skills seem lacking with that statement.

"It's also got a varied ethnic group of people, so they can fit in quickly and easily in society."

Some victims can be forced to work, but most are forced into prostitution. Daigle says sex traffickers often stop at truck stops or rest stops for business.

"Because it does happen a lot at truck stops," said Daigle. "There are also a lot of rest stops in Texas, and they can traffic the girls easily and make breaks and stops."....
Some of the signs a person may be a victim of human trafficking include if you don't see them outside a lot. If they're usually kept inside a building or a home. If they're uncomfortable and don't talk with anyone outside, and if you see a lot of people coming and going from the home or building late at night.

you search these news articles a lot

FYI, anything from FOX is most likely sensationalized (sp?) bullshit. FOX doesn't give a rats ass about the truth. if anyone starts to contradict them they just cut them off and keep going with whatever stupid story they are pushing at the time. I've witnessed this with things I know first hand and it was quite eye opening and shocking at the same time to just see a news team just spouting bullshit to spout it about something they claimed they had no first hand knowledge of but kept giving their opinion like that meant nothing that they didn't know what they were talking about.
It's hard to tell how much that's seen on the media is real or just hype. Election year coming up, there's a new sheriff in Houston. Sex sells, cutting down on human trafficking grabs headlines. Just like your original story, grabs the headline without adding any REAL info. It'll be interesting to see if they follow up with the task force's success or failure. Right now, it's just a fluff piece...
