Several of the Indian reservations there are saying the governor is no longer welcome to visit.
I have no understanding of Indian reservations. I believe they are considered totally separate from states, maybe even state laws.
I did see several of them show unemployment rates as high as 80 %, even with casinos.
Is there no work available ? No investors to create jobs ?

Most of them have no initiative to work and therefore the unemployment rate is thru the roof as well as alcoholism is rampant
As far as jurisdiction they do have tribal police who handle some crimes but if it is a major crime such as murder then the FBI has jurisdiction. And if you are traveling thru the reservation be sure an obey all traffic laws as I have heard from buddies that were caught speeding and it cost them a pretty penny to pay for the ticket.
