I just got a kindle fire HD. I have discovered that the Silk browser doesn't support flash which is a problem with many sites including this one. I have discovered that switching to Dolphin HD will cure this and in addition give me access to all Android apps, not just the ones on Amazon. I've managed to download and install ES file search, but not Dolphin. I'm frustrated. Any help?

I'm not positive, but I thought Kindles all restricted what apps you can download, even though they are android based. You may have to root it to be able to have access to the Google play market. This should help you out, or google "root kindle fire" for plenty of resources.

I am not going to "root" the Kindle as this voids the warranty. The way around that is to go to the pull down menu on the Kindle and to "device" and turn on "allow installations of applications from unknown sources". That allows you to download files that aren't from Amazon.
