My apologies to those who don't want to read about drama, but this morning I am a wee bit ticked off.
THURSDAY of last week, I called a P411 provider who is "newbie friendly" (I have one OK on my profile) to see if she would be available for an appointment that evening. She said she might be available after 8pm if she could arrange child care. Sounded reasonable, I realise providers have real lives. She never called.
FRIDAY of last week, I called her to see if I could see her Tuesday at 7pm. She said to call back Saturday night to see if she had arranged child care.
SATURDAY of last week, I called as she requested. She said Tuesday at 7pm was fine. I told her I'd call Tuesday afternoon with the location.
TUESDAY (yesterday) I called her with the location. She said that she had tried to contact the provider who had OK'd me, but without luck, and that she didn't know yet if she had any child care lined up.
Let me clarify here, I'm not ticked that she tried to contact my OK provider. She has every right to do so. But if that is a condition for her seeing me, she shouldn't list herself as "newbie friendly." The other part is that she waited until after I had paid for the room to tell me that she wanted to speak to the other provider and hadn't heard from her.
I'm ticked that based on the conversation from Saturday, it sounded like she was willing to see me last night. Based on that, I paid for a room. Now I'm out the cost of the room. I don't hobby a great deal because I'm not a rich man. Am I justified in being ticked off, or am I overreacting?
