Mangement/Pimp

I've always wondered why someone hasn't posted a thread lately about Mangement/Pimp? Do you gents/ladies consider Management/Pimp two seperate terms or is it the same but using different words?

Management = agency ?
Pimp = stable ?
I guess they are basically the same in some regards. They screen, take a cut, and provide some type of security.
Pimps are better known for exploitation, but I've heard stories or agencies doing the same.

I try to see only independents so this is only speculation.
love the avatar carolinagent

I have no idea I am INDEPENDENT never thought of doing it any other way....

I think most guys would be quite surprised at what happens behind the scenes of some/many providers businesses.

And Shorty, if you start a thread about pimps, don't wimp out with "I try not to think about it.". If you don' want to think about it, why start the thread? This is your topic. You got to promote and protect it. There is no Pulitzer for the faint of heart.

So, to put some focus on this vital issue, Chica are you inferring that many, if not most independents, are not free agents? Or is it less than 50%? And how does it work?

I thought this was going to be a typical softball thread but maybe it has some teeth if people will tell us what they know. For my part I assumed, perhaps naively, that most independents were exactly that, especially the older ladies. Now Chica has me doubting that assumption.

This ain't sausage making. We can take the dirty details.

So what do you call the lady that sets up the date because she couldn't see that person at that time? Or a lady that says she's got a friend for doubles? Are the ladies a Manager/Pimp or neither?

Personally, I can't see another lady giving up a client or booking a doubles session without getting some compensation.

I think there is a distinct difference between pimp and management. Sure both offer/provide similar "services" to the provider, but the devil is in the details. When I think of management, I think in terms of corporation with providers as employees or independent contractors. It is a detached relationship that at the end of the day sees both parties go their separate ways. Sure, the management makes money off the provider but more in a business sense. When I think of a pimp, I think entirely in terms of an exploiter. The pimp "owns" the provider. What the gal gets in terms of monetary gains is strictly at the whim of the pimp. Additionally, the pimp uses force, rape, threats, etc to keep the girl(s) in line. A pimp also will use some sort of substance abuse addiction to control his girls. A pimp is nothing more than a modern day slave owner who preys on the weakness of women. Where one draws the line between pimp and management, that's the rub and probably best in the eye of the beholder.

As for the other comments, Chica and others please do share because I do want to know. From the very limited knowledge I have, here are a couple of my conclusions. First, agencies/pimps will prey on independents to try and recruit them. Second, some hobbyists take an almost obsessive interest in managing the girls they see which borders on the extreme. By that, they will try to get freebies, threaten to give bad reviews, etc. While not necessarily taking money out of the providers' wallet, some of these clients attempt to micromanage the providers they see. Finally, gals do tend to run in packs. They will manage or cover for each other. Even though it is technically a competitive business, I know some providers who treat it almost like a cartel. I really am interested to hear what others may know or have observed.

The internet has changed this business drastically...as you know and women of all kinds enter into it. Most of them only knowing or think that they know what they see on TV. When I started in Nevada, there were really three types of girls...1) Those with the traditional pimps...the messy kind, 2) Those with what were what I call the Real pimps...(not at all what you would ever imagine) 3) Girls like me who were called outlaws.

The term outlaw came from the idea that you operated out side law of the profession. Meaning we worked for ourselves. At the end of the day we were handed cash that was ours and to do with what we wanted. No man lived off us and most often we were single or with a woman who was working at the house as unions were often made while there.

The pimps that most of you conjure up in your mind when hearing the word, were just that. Often they would bring their girls up to Nevada and make an agreement with the madams so that the money was turned over to them and not the girls...she would get only what she needed for supplies and such...or if she clipped money that neither of the two knew about. However, these types of pimps were sort of frowned upon, but tolerated as they supplied a constant stream of girls.

The real pimps were simply business men who would really look after the girls. Many of these girls were not educated and had problems which made it hard for the girls to take care of themselves. These men would actually make sure that when the girl was not at the ranch she had a place to stay of her own, a roof over her head, and if she had a child, that the child was taken care of. Many of these men put money in savings for these woman and did for them what they couldn't do for themselves...

However today, times have changed...and you see everything...but basically, I still think that most women will fit in one category or another. Even if a girl has a boyfriend or a husband it is possible for her to be an outlaw...

I hope this helps, I guess this is an area that most women never talk about...a taboo I guess. I hope this sheds some light on the matter...

Thanks Kristen for the post. I was waiting on the ladies to respond and give there take on the Management/Pimp. You basically answered the question the way I figured the way escorting was.

I do think some ladies that claim to be Outlaws or Independent aren't really all that. When the BF, Husband, or another family asks how many date's you have lined up or tells you need to run a special because we need the money, then your not an Outlaw or Independent. Then, your a lady working for someone else.
