Hell Has A New Resident

So another despot has died. I hope Kim Jong Il gets shared accomodations with Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Lenin, Mao, and many other "great leaders" who went before.

And look at his successor. It is difficult to believe that in the 21st century, "Thugocracys" such as this can still exist.
What is unbelieveable is that the western democracies have paid to prop up the dispicable north korea regime...getting little to nothing in return from N. Korea.

It was the Clinton administration that wrongly thought they could influence NKs actions by funneling billions into the regime. Bush knew otherwise and rightly labeled NK part of the "axis of evil."

Since 1995, the United States has provided North Korea with over $1.2 billion in assistance, of which about 60% has paid for food aid and about 40% for energy assistance. As of early February 2011, the United States is not providing any aid to North Korea, except for a small medical assistance program. The Obama Administration, along with the South Korean government, have said that they would be willing to provide large-scale development aid if North Korea takes steps to irreversibly dismantle its nuclear program.

And many are arguing for expanded assistance.

These guys don't even seem to have any imagination.

It's like they have this giant cookie cutter that just stamps out another pudgy dough-boy and let's call him, hmmm?

Oh yeah, let's call him Kim!

. . . Damn! Is Kim the only name they've got in that entire country?

the kim name is the family name as others have pointed out.

however, what they didn't point out is that the naming convention in asian cultures is quite different from that of western culture.

the family name is first followed by primary or given name or both. Western version places the family name last.

ex. firestorm dilbert ugh

as opposed to the western version of dilbert ugh firestorm
Or the Neanderthal version Ugh Ugh Ugh. LOL
