I was actually not thinking to much of it because I saw it was in 3-D and the trailers did not seem to give it a really, favorable perception.
On the plus side, I love Karl Urban and actually could not think of a better person to play Stallone's part.
This movie is not a remake of Judge Dredd. It is very different and in a good way.
I feel they did an excellent job keeping it watchable for 2-D movie-goers. I can not watch 3-D as I get very dizzy and nauseous when I try watching them.
Dredd is very "manly" and very "likeable" at the same time. No love story here, thank God. Urban has lots of great one liners in the movie, btw.
It is not campy like the first one and has a very real world feel to it.
I highly suggest seeing Dredd.
