Video explains that the raid occured in the early morning hours of May 5th, 2013. A total of 16 night clubs were raided, and identifies the CMP night club. From the Ministerio Publico a local judge and prosecutor were in charge of the raid, which pulled police from departments responsible for immigration and trafficking of arms and people.

News articles in Diario Puerto Plata, Nuevo El Diario and Hoy Digital also informed that 33 women were pulled out of club, located on Pedro Clisante and that several persons of German nationality were taken into police custody on charges of coercion.

After all the trouble, only one club was closed for one night and everything else is operating normally.

Police and government officials say they mean to take the girls off the street. Upshot is less independents on the street and more girls moving to the night clubs where they are controlled.
