quite place to get free wi-fi

I am curious where people like to go to get free wi-fi and a quite place to work. I need a good place to work outside of the office that I am not forced to buy coffee but can get some quite and some internet access. I am north near P-Ville etc.

Thanks

Mc Donald's , if you park at entrance you don't even need to go in . Barnes & Nobles and Starbucks also can just park outside .
thanks, but actually looking for a place to go in and work. would need a table etc.
You want to use somebodies investment in their broadband connection, wifi router and access point, and probable tech vendor, but can't be bothered to buy a $1.50 cup of coffee in exchange? Why don't you go ahead and stock up on napkins and ketchup while you're at it? Yes, you hit a sore spot of mine. Try a public library, at least you contribute in taxes. #stopfreeloaders
Barnes & Nobles said they didn't have ketchup and napkins , so I chose the 1.00 double cheeseburger instead . Got the napkins though!
Good man!
Hey harley I am a small business owner, get off your soap box dick head. Buying a cup of coffee is not the issue. The crowded loud place is. Public library sounds about right. Who goes into those places anymore? Just love when an opinionated cock jumps on a thread with some bullshit point they feel they need to make. F-off dude!

But in the question you posed you specifically did not want to be forced to buy coffee.

And I quote: "am curious where people like to go to get free wi-fi and a quite place to work. I need a good place to work outside of the office that I am not forced to buy coffee but can get some quite and some internet access. I am north near P-Ville etc."

Now the wording and context supposes that the "coffee shops" would be good if only they didnt make you buy coffee.

Not my fault , you worded it that way.

If buying coffee does not bother you then why mention it?

However, my recommendation is to purchase a 4G modem to plug into your laptop. This way you dont have to deal with pesky noise issues and people pushing coffee.
Just go to the place that is closest and most cozy, has best lighting, has best indoor air, has clean bathroom, has nice looking people around who don't smell.

And if you find the spot that has all that, buy a Lemon Zinger Tea. The tea bag is worth a dime, the cup a nickel and .04 of hot water, net cost .19 cents.

That choice would leave the most "profit" ($1.70) to cover the costs of your cozy chair, clean table with electrical outlet and that bathroom and the labor costs of the dude who cleans the bathroom.

Trees loves Epoch on the North Loop. Super cool, cozy, super fast bandwidth, ESP pizza and some fantastic coffee and tea and blended beverages.

Thanks for the post. The coffee purchase was not supposed to be the point of my post but that's where it was taken. Is I said, I own a couple of small business, so I know exactly what a P&L is and everything that goes into it, including the guy that cleans the bathroom. (which is usually the small business owner).

I will give Epoch a try and will try a beverage and a pastry if they have any. Hope that calms all the folks who are concerned about wifi router and access point.
Iron Cactus has good margaritas and wifi is reliable.
If you are north...Tuscany 360 ..beautiful view , good coffee.

There's a cool place over here on the east side called BENNU. They have free internetz, its pretty quiet, and there is TONS of seating. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves so its not one of those sit and chat kinda places (I hate that). They have the most delicious chocolate banana muffins... which can be enjoyed 24 hours a day unless I get there before you!
