Seeking Advice for touring

Hello ladies and gents.
I have been thinking about doing a tour this summer as I have never done it and now would be the perfect time as school is out. SOme questions I had are:
Is doing a tour very lucrative or doe one usually break even?
How should I decide where to go?
What all should I know?
General advice would be helpful as well.

touring can be great if you pick right cities!

post 'feeler" discussions in cities you are interested in...always try to get enough pebooked appts before you venture out

put a post in coed discussion board of several cities asking how biz is and if you should visit
