Bernie Sanders drops a truth bomb

To hear republicans tell it, increasing minimum wage somehow damages the economy and doesn't really help anyone. Bullshit.

IMO Bernie Sanders is a far far better candidate than Hillary.

He was one of the few supporters of the disclose act, which would have made campaign finances more transparent. The first step to kicking corporate money out of politics.

Too bad he has a snowball's chance in hell of winning the nomination

Mr. and Mrs. UnderAverage support Bernie Sanders. It's nice when couples can agree.

I don't have to read the post. When an admitted socialist starts talking, I put a lot of salt on what he, or she, might say.

Wow, that is amazing! Let's just raise the minimum wage to a million dollars an hour and we will all be rich beyond belief.
Why hasn't anyone ever thought of this before, it's just so easy. /sigh

I would suggest you google "economics" and start educating yourself before you listen to a corrupt government bureaucracy that intentionally calculates everything to deceive you. Think "unemployment rate"...

Myth: Increasing the minimum wage will cause people to lose their jobs.

Not true: A review of 64 studies on minimum wage increases found no discernable effect on employment. Additionally, more than 600 economists, seven of them Nobel Prize winners in economics, have signed onto a letter in support of raising the minimum wage to $10.10 by 2016.

Myth: Small business owners can't afford to pay their workers more, and therefore don't support an increase in the minimum wage.

Not true: A June 2014 survey found that more than 3 out of 5 small business owners support increasing the minimum wage to $10.10. Small business owners believe that a higher minimum wage would benefit business in important ways: 58% say raising the minimum wage would increase consumer purchasing power. 56% say raising the minimum wage would help the economy. In addition, 53% agree that with a higher minimum wage, businesses would benefit from lower employee turnover, increased productivity and customer satisfaction.

Myth: Increasing the minimum wage is bad for the economy.

Not true: Since 1938, the federal minimum wage has been increased 22 times. For more than 75 years, real GDP per capita has steadily increased, even when the minimum wage has been raised.

I know the right wing nuts have no trouble at all getting by on $10.00 a hour, so everyone else should be able too.

IB please tell me how you are more qualified than nobel peace prize winning economists to be talking about this subject.

The healthiest economy is one that has a small amount of yearly inflation. Inflation is directly tied to spending. Yes, as people spend more, prices go up. I don't know what the fuck you were trying to prove with that bullshit. If we experience defltaion, that causes people to spend less and save more. For christ's sake read a fucking book you illiterate motherfucker.
