How to get references

I've been in the hobby for a few years now, but have been enjoying the hobby only in Europe. Now I'm interested in seeing what the escorts here in the US have to offer. But none of the ones I'm interested in are newbie friendly. They all require references. How do you get references? I mean, you have to start somewhere right?
