I Hate

CAR SHOPPING!!!

Ok so I am very thankful my son is fine after slamming my acura into a concrete barrier wall on an overpass at about 65mph after side swiping a car...but OMG I hate looking for another car. I drove a toyota today and Hell to the NO! And I am a cheapskate. I had a car that was paid for so this really sux!

Just had to vent. Any suggestions as to where is a good place to get a good honest deal? I would love to find another acura, used is fine, I really do not want a large note or finance over 2 years.
Not certain where you live but rainbow imports has used cars. Not certain on Acura. They do have infiniti, BMW, jags and others. Some are nicely priced. Most have 20 to 30,000 miles. I have an Infiniti m37 but that have several g series. Hope that helped. Btw they do have a website to check inventory to save you a trip of wasting time if not to your liking.
Oh damn. That's in Covington. On the northshore.
Thanks Ill check them out. I was looking at the Infiniti suv at a place on the southshore, the northshore is much more convenient. I loved the acura, and just having a hard time. I am a creature of habit, unfortunately my income isnt as high as it used to be. Working in the real world has its downfall. Hence my desire to get back in the game for a while lol. Its hard downsizing....I sooo need to marry a rich man

Or just a rich sugar daddy ......
Haha Lat, that would be nice, but Im not into men much older than me. I once had one my age and he got all weird a possessive. I guess he thought he owned me at some point. Got rid of that and have not been that desperate since. I would just like to find a great deal on a car. Im not too materialistic, or a snobby bitch looking for status(especially since Im a broke bitch)lol. I just want something nice, that rides smooth, and gets descent gas mileage. I have a 2nd car I am romping around town in, just not taking it long distances.

Actually - I would try the Honda place in Slidell ... they actually have a huge selection of used cars of all models.
I got a great buy on an impossible to get HONDA CRV a 2001 with 80,000 miles and mint condition at a body shop on Ursuline and Broad......they have some cars out there right now. They are UTR but have great value from time to time.
Yo mojito, is that in the ghetto? Im not familiar with that area.

Averni, Im shopping more on Saturday and Slidell was on the list. Isnt that over by the toyota place on the service road?

I have been putting it off--I probably should've already replaced it before my upcoming long-hauls. The idea just fills me w/dread.

I'm glad that Arv found a place that seems to be reputable: I'll stop by. And I'll definitely go by the Ursulines & Broad lot: that's walking distance from me in mid-City.

Chella: no, that's not the "ghetto". Broad & Ursulines is right there on the line between Bayou St. John (VERY nice neighborhood) & the Treme/Lafitte (which is iffy--but also isn't 7th Ward & parts of it are perfectly OK to walk through); after you car-shop, walk NORTH-WEST into Bayou St. John up Ursulines for a block & a half, turn right onto N White St., look @ the nice houses, walk 3 blocks up to Esplanade on White & have a CC's. Glad your son is OK.
Well since your car shopping too it seems, we should get that cc's together, or maybe something stronger. I dread this process.

However today especially I am thankful my son is ok. He just left out in his mustang to the grocery for me and I heard him haul ass. He is having to pay his ticket and own insurance from now on. I guess boys will be boys.

Thank you for the help and kind words OHD, hope your having a great day. Im still in my jammies and probably going to make Christmas candy to hand out. It is something I do every holiday season for anyone who loves homemade fudge(real stuff) and other goodies.

It's one of the nicest things about NOLA & I can walk to it. And I love home-made fudge.
Ill have to bring you some and we can take a stroll. Making some now, always make a test batch. If it messes up it will make a good topping for bluebell homemade vanilla ice cream. Ill hit you up before I head down there. I was just asked to drive a friends car to his duty station next weekend up east, so Ill just browse the net for now, look this weekend at the place off Veterans.

Nuts in the fudge?

A former player buys cars at auctions then sells them to the dealers along the coast from New Orleans to Pcola. If you buy from a dealer it most likely is a auction car because most trade ins are sort of bad with a few exceptions. From what he tells me is that the car dealers sell the trade ins to curb dealers. So, I will be in town Friday and Saturday pm me and I will send my number and try to see where he is this weekend, if you are interested.
Yes indeed
