Abilene/Lubbock help....please ;)

Well, Savannah and I are making the final plans to visit West Texas in a couple of weeks. But, I need some help.

This will be our first visit to Abilene and Lubbock...neither of us have ever been to these 2 cities. We have no clue about hotels, areas to stay in/out of, etc.

Can we get some hotel suggestions? Or area suggestions, to stay.

As I said, neither of us are the slightest bit familiar with either of the 2 cities. I think I have driven thru Abilene once...lol.

There are several hotels on I-20, both old and new mostly on the east end. They are in MHO more private than the ones around the mall. Hard to hide your car in the most active part of town.

First, check what is going on. Tech football games can sell out the hotels.
Second, get your room early, and use your hotel rewards card.
