Tangent to NO AA, opinions please...

So I don't do politics for business reasons. I also don't get involved in things like when a business denies someone service because of race, religion or sexual orientation.

That being said, I run my business so that it leaves no one out based on anything except maybe rudeness, drunkenness, assholes etc... (customer is NOT always right!)

Since this is an anonymous forum!

I don't understand why different groups whether it be the LGBT community, the AA community or what have you, want to force business's to serve them. There are laws trying to be passed or have been passed that say you cannot deny someone your business based on these things...

Wouldn't you as a person want to know who NOT to give your money to? Wouldn't their business suffer more by allowing them to operate with such an archaic way of thinking?

I've obviously never been in their shoes, but I think I'd rather know who these people are instead of forcing them to hide among the masses...

I can kinda understand a large chain like McDonald's. Etc... being told not discriminate
But if a small mom and pop type business wants to and they have a decent reason then they should serve only those they want too ...

I love going into a restaurant here in Arkansas and not ever have to smell any cigarette smoke but I don't think the government should make that call but the business owner only.

If you don't like it don't eat there. That's like saying if you are over 50 pounds overweight so you can't buy a large soda in NY. Go ahead and up it to where you can't go into a doughnut shop either.

There is a major chicken restaurant that won't serve anyone food on Sunday because the owners religious beliefs.
And they should have that right.

The government is getting way to big and dipping their nose in way too much.
Leads to some interesting lines of thought. If the hobby were made legal, would providers be forced to see clients they wouldn't normally, due to discrimination? With as liberally minded as our government is I'd enjoy watching the mental gymnastics it would take to legislate who a woman sees and who she doesn't.

Restaurant in hot springs got known for openly refusing to serve and asking to leave those that were gay. THey even put a hand written sign on the door that said they reserve righr to refuse service...now word got out and restaurant claimed it was unruly and crudely dressed customers they booted..that just happened to all be gay..gay people were up in arms.."lets go in there and annoy them"

My question always was..and goes for nba policy in.hobby too..why would u wanna do business with someone that would simply be taking your money. Forcing that restaurant to serve you food is a "win"? Convincing a provider to see you is a "win"?..the business gets to profit from you and still gets to have the same thoughts feelings and attitude..so who won if their is to be a winner?

I like was said think its more a lesson in who to avoid..what businesses to not do business with.

I was raped, beat up, tortured, driven to suicide twice, and disowned by the "black community" ever since I was 10. My own step father would sneak into my room nearly every night since I was 12. I was ganged raped by black boys that lived in my neighborhood. I had a kid when I was only 14. Black girls in schools beat me up daily and cut my hair. The ONLY people that took up for me were the white and Hispanic kids in school.

So don't you fucking dare assume my reasonings for not seeing a black man. I can't even look at one without thinking he's out to murder me. So you can suck my dick if you feel the need to judge who I refuse to see. Make sure you leave the money on the table when you're done

As a Black person that is also the B in LGBTQ sure I would like to know who to not give my money to but we're always so lucky. A lot of people can despise everything about your being and still manage to take your money.
In the case of the seller vs the buyer in P4P ... this biz is little bit different being such a personal one because my body is my work more-or-less.
I don't blame guys for asking why no one will see them (even though i'm so over it) but I wish some of them would have more pride and not damn near beg people who don't want them to see them.
That's like a guy who doesn't like fat chicks or black chicks....and i'm both (lol) saying to them ohhhh come on i'm not bad give me your money!
Some people can't help not being someone else's cup of tea for reason or another but they should be more thicker skinned.

Hell i'm sure I've fucked a few guys who didn't particularly care for gays/bisexuals, liberals or even Blacks (you CAN be racist AF and fuck someone you hate or think is beneath you) and saw me anyways because......my pussy is pink on the inside .

oops last sentence should say I'm sure I've fucked a few white guys who didn't particularly care for gays/bisexuals, liberals or even Blacks (you CAN be racist AF and fuck someone you hate or think is beneath you) and saw me anyways because......my pussy is pink on the inside.
**too late for me to edit my other reply.

I couldn't either my dear but it happens.
I've also heard my share of IR couple horror stories (including the non-black partner calling the black partner all kinds of N-words)....but that might be getting a little OT.

As a black male living in AR i'll give my opinion,

There are 2 sides to this imo. Me Personally, if a restaurant refused to see me based on my race, I absolutely wouldn't want to contributed to their financial gain, for many reasons. But, the other side of it is that you have to look more big picture. There are people that think beyond themselves and sacrifice to bring about change. You have to start somewhere if your goal is to integrate and become a more harmonious society, whether we are talking difference in race, gender, etc...

For example, I bet that the all the white people gave the LR 9 hell, but it led to better things for the future generations, enabling us to have access to an education. Another example would be Jackie Robinson. I bet he wish he had it easier while breaking the color barrier in MLB, but he sacrificed to bring about change for the future.

my 2cents
Maybe I'm just another "privileged, cis-white, entitled scum bag" but here's my .02 cents. HER body HER choice. MAY suck for some people and not for others but when it comes down to it she is the taxi driver and we are a bunch of schlubs who want a ride.

For people to judge and assume someone's reasoning why they don't see AAs is low down. You don't know why someone does the things they do! I hate you had to go through any of that Danielle and the fact that you had to come out with that over someone's ignorant assumptions! Makes me mad!! I actually have clients who ask me if I see AA clients and when I tell them no, they like me even more everyone has a choice and I chose not to see black guys as well, my body, my choice!

The opinions I expressed earlier pertained to me, and my personal perspective. I did not mean to imply it should be that way for everyone, or say that it's wrong to have a different approach.
