Tutorial to spot phony backpage pics (or any image online):

I see alot of guys posting ISO about BP ads, if they are real providers or not. The following is a simple way to determine if the photos belong to someone else or being used elsewhere. I'm sure some of you already know how to do this, or use Tineye. I have had better luck using Google Images, which turns up more results.

1. Go to Google.com
2. Click the Images link at top
3. Right click on photo in question, copy image url. For example, a photo on backpage post.
4. Go back to Google images search field, right click and paste the previously copied url and click search button
5. When/if nothing is returned click link above that says "for matching images, try search by image -- at this time, you will see all images matching the one in question.
6. Problem solved - you know where the images originated or where else they are being used.

Happy Hunting!
I've also had better luck with google image search. For google chrome, there's also an extension, Search by Image (by Google). Once installed, you just right-click and select "Search Google with this image."

Some of the guys have trouble using google image search or tineye with their phones. Something app-related might help those guys. I used to help out, but started getting goofy replies to my posts.

Thanks for thinking of us, though.

If you use Firefox, there is a Tineye extension. Once you install it, right click on any image and 'search on Tineye' is now available.

Hey guys, thanks for your feedback.

I added the Google image search extension to Chrome as well as to Firefox. Both work great!
