Thoughts?

i am going to assume people have strong opinions on this topic. i welcome perspectives from the center, left and right. i would only ask that everyone keep the discussion civil.

I felt the same as you when Ruth Bader Ginsburg croaked a few months ago....Luckily Trump found a superior replacement.....

You want to stay civil, yet your title shows that you aren't in that regard.

Typical action of the leftist hypocrites.

Typical action of the leftist hypocrites. O'Mike, there is no hypocrisy here. I gave my Cliffs Notes version of what i think of Rush Limbaugh in two words: Good Riddance. My call to civility is that even members who disagree can still have a civil conversation about the contribution and legacy of Rush Limbaugh.

Most hypocrites don't see their hypocritical behavior either.

Don't expect others to respect your words if you write contrary to their ideas.

To me, who did not listen to him much, RL loved our country and did whatever he could to preserve it in the face of mounting challenges. We should not be saying 'Good Riddance' to anyone like that. Just don't see that as being civil.

Don't like Bill Maher either, zerodahero, but don't wish him dead, I would like to see him off the air. Still remember his anti-military, anti-patriotic comments of a number of years ago.

i'm open to listen to any defenses of Limbaugh.

the above article is pretty unsparing. as i read through one travesty after another in Limbaugh's career, i found myself laughing at the outrageousness of it all. but if i was a descendant of slaves, probably i would be less than amused.

Rush was the best at what he did. He could break down complex issues into something easy to understand and made it sound easy. He also never took himself too seriously.

I listened to him at work whenever possible and was entertained as much as I was informed.
His will be some big shoes to fill.
