The word is correctly spelled googol.

Gold is the only metal that doesn't rust, even if it's buried in the ground for thousands of years

Rust is iron oxide. Other metals corrode with the exception of platinum which decomposes in the same manner as gold. They decompose spontaneously into pure metal.

You're concerned here with resonant frequencies. Discovery Channel's Mythbusters attempted to duplicate this and Tesla's earthquake machine. Neither worked. This link should take you to Episode 60 "Earthquake Machine".

Close. It's Bayer's brand name for diacetylmorphine, a more potent morphine derivative. Aspirin also originated as a Bayer brand name

Zero is the only number that cannot be represented by Roman numerals
"Only one instance of a Roman numeral for zero is known. About 725, Bede or one of his colleagues used the letter N, the initial of nulla, in a table of epacts, all written in Roman numerals."

The roar that we hear when we place a seashell next to our ear is not the ocean, but rather the sound of blood surging through the veins in the ear.
Partially, but not entirely. If I had to bet, the blood rushing makes up a relatively small percentage of the overall seashell resonance

Trivia in Roman mythology was the goddess who haunted crossroads, graveyards and was the goddess of sorcery and witchcraft. She wandered about at night, and was seen only by the barking of dogs who told of her approach.
Specifically, she was the goddess of crossroads with three paths, making her the goddess of three ways (sort of)

Technically not. Those aren't seeds, those are
achenes and the actual seeds are inside of those. The fleshy sweet bit is part of the stem.

The moon moves about two inches away from the Earth each year
It doesn't always move away, and the rate isn't constant. The distance is somewhat cyclic, and it gets closer some years too. Last month, it was closer at full phase than it's been since '93.

The Earth gets 100 tons heavier every day due to falling space dust
On average, the Earth accumulates somewhere around 10 thousand to 1 million tonnes of meteorites per year on average (or so says Tulane). That'd be about 28 to 280 tonnes more mass per day. Originally Posted by Randy4Candy
