Sex work prohibition is most of the reason why this work isn't safer for you ladies. Obviously, you're subject to arrest and even worse at the hands of the donut-molesters. But, worse yet, the fact that your business is illegal makes it much harder -- and, in some cases, virtually impossible -- to get any sort of protection from the law against violent attackers and even killers.
Every politician and other form of lawfaker who supports continued prohibition -- and that's pretty much every single one of them, as far as I know -- is personally responsible for the violence suffered by sex workers. I hope their dreams are very bad indeed.
As clients, we should all be doing whatever we can to end sex-work prohibition. Trouble is, "whatever we can" ain't much.
