Facebook has the potential to be different but it will have risks. It replaced MySpace what new idea will change it. I have also heard Google has a similar product which could impact it. Facebook's big advantage is a huge user base. The question is if they can stay ahead of the competition on functionality and being "cool".
Groupon is a disaster waiting to happen. Competition from other coupon companies will impact its growth potential.
