Internet Explorer browsing history?

Hey guys, needed some help with something. For whatever reason, after deleting all the items in my browsing history, it still remembers several of my visits after typing in just two letters. The problem I have is, I have visited Backpage multiple times and it shows up a lot if I typed in B and A for Backpage or even D and A for Dallas. I don't want my SO to see this and can't get it off the browser. I just recently updated to Internet Explorer 8, so not sure if there is another way to fix this. I never had this issue with my old IE. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Just download Firefox or Google Chrome. Both have stealth capabilities that will not save any browsing history. As soon as you X out its all gone forever. If you don't open up IE, there is never a history to have to clean up.

As a bonus; both are so much faster loading pages than IE.
This makes me think of a story I read today:

Of course I always run CCleaner when I exit a browsing session and have the info overwritten. It's a simple program that is sometimes easier than trying to figure out how to set-up all your internet options.

You can download this FREEware here if you're interested:

And I really do enjoy Firefox more than IE but that's JMHO.

I had the same problem, and even then sometimes when you delete cookies there still cookies left behind. However for those who want to be discreet on a level where its not obvious I can understand.

Having the same problem, I realized it wasnt the cookies that was the reason for the same link to show up, it was the fact it was in my favorites list.

CCleaner is a good program to use, and the fact some browers allow stealth viewing is a plus too.

While I love FF, Chrome's incognito window is pretty nice too.

Firefox is the way to go, although Chrome is pretty good also.
