My exwife sent me a picture this morning of one of the cats we raised together and went with the ex. Calamity Jane (Janie) has got cancer and my ex is basically trying to work the courage up to say goodbye....man those little four legged friends just get in our hearts. I'm not so much a cat lady, but I love my Chihuahua and she is my absolute EVERYTHING.

My SO and I have gone thru that many times with our rescue dogs and we both lose it every time, but they deserve having us with them and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I always keep in my mind that my dogs could not have had a better life if not with us.

My SO and I have no children. My two Bichon's(Buster and Sassy) are just like kids to us! Totally unconditional love for us....even after busting Buster's butt for peeing in the floor today! Both are lying in the bed right beside me! It's strange how a man's man can melt at the thought of a pet passing away!! Been there, done that! I feel your pain Nick!!
