unverified providers advertising in welcome wagon???

DallasRain's Avatar
I see quite a few ladies advertising in the welcome wagon{these are unverified providers...usually backpage girls}......I flagged one and was told by a moderater that it is allowed for an unverified provider to post in welcome wagon till tey get provider status.
I think this is unfair...we verified & reputable providers worked our asses off to get where we are today..I did not get to do that kind of thing when I started out..I had to get reviewed by two guys and then get reffered from them or another reputable & verified provider.

am I thinking unfairly?????

This is what SP says on the subject:

Our official policy
The "Welcome and Introductions" forum in each Metro Location is an excellent 'landing pad' for new ladies to the community. These sections have excellent readership from the members in that particular city. New ladies are welcome to make a post in this forum during their first 7 days of membership. This will be called their 'intro ad' and may include all their details, info, and pics. This may be done before you have requested VP status or while you are waiting for approval. Once approved, however, please use the appropriate forums to advertise and post in this forum only to welcome new members.

This is taken from the forum guidelines when the link for provider advertising is opened.

More than ONE welcome thread by a lady awaiting verification is not allowed, if you see violations use RTM as unfortunately many of us don't have the time to read the forums as much as needed.

There have been a few that try to get away with it in the OK forum, but we have the best mods there to keep them in line!

Seems fair. The only additonal thing I would think that could be done is to automatically close the thread after 7 days.

This http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=53515 is why the welcome msgs should be locked after a week. This provider bumped a three month old thread and doesn't appear to have provider status yet. She also has started other welcome msgs.

The mods do what they can but I now see what the OP was concerned about.

I dont mind if they have a seven day rule and enforce it, but some of the newbies are bumping their own thread way too many times and when you do that, I think they open themselves to scrutiny and the "welcome" part is gone.
It is slightly annoying, but half of them dont even stick around.
