Visiting KC

I am thinking about planning my first trip to KC next week for a couple days and was wondering if I could get a little advice from you all...

Like where are the best areas to stay while there and where not to go?

I suppose the Plaza area is a good start. If you don't already do so, get the best hotel prices on Priceline.com, Hotels.com, travelocity.com, etc. to get good deals. My advice, and others may disagree with me, stay away from Kansas City, KS and Overland Park. That's just me. For other things to do and see, your hotel will have brochures and concieres to give you advice.
