Naturally, the mail-voting proponents-turned-nervous-skeptics will lash the president and the Postal Service for their conversions — but that only gets them so far. The growing mountain of evidence shows America faces inherent challenges with an emergency, bulk-mail voting experiment. That trend is not helped by legal agreements between Democratic Party attorneys and chummy state election officials. Citizens are predictably blanching at news of dropped witness requirements in Virginia; allowing mail ballot counting days after Election Day in Pennsylvania and North Carolina; and even weeks later in Michigan. Don’t even get folks started on new ballot-harvesting allowances tucked into some of these deals.

The hard part with trying to discuss mail in voting is rules are different in every state. Some states have sent post cards to every registered voter that lets them request a mail in ballot. Those systems seem to have checks and balances in place to make sure the ballots are kept track of and prevent fraud.


Some states have tried to dramatically change things and mail ballots out because of the pandemic. These systems are ripe for fraud.

the problem with mail in ballots is that they are doing too much too soon. it takes time to get all the kinks worked out and you do it gradually. I think thats how 3 states (washington, oregon and I don't know who's the 3rd) who have used mail in ballots for a number of years. its not perfect, but they've minimized the errors as much as possible. i don't think their mail ballot system is all that secure.

Turns out that most of the early, mail in voting is for Biden but a very large percentage will probably be disqualified. Quick! Plan B.
