I know this seems like an obvious answer but I would like to clarify something instead of guessing...

Does reviews at amps count as references for an independent provider? Im more of an amp type of guy but I have my eye on a couple of providers and Im just curious what the consensus is? Of course, understanding it will vary per provider but I just waned the generalized thoughts of others...

Reviews are not references. Just exactly will the provider confirm your amp reference?
