ladies: What Scent?

Ladies: I am an older hobbyist now and have a few evident infermities (hearing, eyesight, cane etc). Got a load of toiletries at Christmas; all of it "Old Spice".

At age 66, any provider that I see will be much younger. Does Old Spice give off a Grandpa buzz-kill?

Should I be using something a bit less Old-Man?

No Help Here?
hey hun, i would say to invest in a nice cologne from perfumania or a local store. it mayb pricey but a little goes along way.

any from like versace (blue bottle is amazing) gucci or Saint Laurent are all wonderful.
As long as you show up to your lovely companion's place clean and freshly scrubbed I don't think she will have a problem with you smelling like Old Spice. It's a pretty inoffensive smell no matter what.

Brut or Grey Flannel on the other hand....those scents should be thrown in the garbage where they belong.

jmho but quite often, the lesser the scent, the better.

Some providers may be very sensitive to scents and even more so to strong or heavily applied colognes.
I love a sexy smelling man!!!
Whatever you do, don't pick Axe. I say this as a younger guy in his 30's. I stick to Dove.
Being a slightly younger provider than you, OP (and I do mean slightly), I doubt young ladies would appreciate the scents that our generation got turned on by.
Personally, Lagerfeld makes my panties fall off. Its not an overpowering scent, it draws a woman in closer, for a more up close and personal sniff.
Run the cash under her nose. Love that scent. Only kidding. I am now 70 and use axe body spray. Shower right before meeting, spray some axe on chest, legs, etc. and be a gentleman and you will do fine.
Saw a 21 year old pretty lady a few days ago, complimented me on my smell, shaved below and even got a little tongue on the butt without asking and got a review special $$. I would rather be lucky than good.

A special thanks to Harley: Your post keeps me looking to the future in the Hobby.

Ladies and Gents: Thanks everyone for the straight-forward and generally serious advice. The remarks about the soap-scented man are an essential Hobby truth I am sure.

Among the Christmas goodies a bottle of Safari. Any opinions on a light misting of that?
I recommend Hai Karate. Each bottle comes with a small self-defense instruction booklet to help the wearer fend off women. After applying it, you will be forced to fight the ladies off. Guaranteed!

Not helpful. Not that funny either after some forty plus years.

Try Paco Rabanne 1 Million
This stuff is awesome. Do not use more than 1 spray.

Much cheaper than buying at the store.
I was with my ATF the other day with some new cologne on. I was on her couch as she came up behind me. She leaned over, ran her hands down my chest, and whispered in my ear, "you smell great, what do you have on?" I said "I have a hard on, but I didn't know you could smell it."
