Should Secret Service Head Kimberly Cheatle Resign?

https://nypost.com/2024/07/16/us-new...l-wont-resign/

This woman is clueless.
How in the hell did someone with her Naiveté ever rise to the position of Head of the Secret Service.

I doubt she will resign. And Biden will not fire her.

So perhaps Newly Elected President Trump’s first official act on the afternoon of January 6 will be to fire her.
It appears she has received some negative publicity over the security measures of Secret Service. Although I doubt she will resign or get fired at this time. My guess is she might resign if Trump wins the election.

Absolutely
Definitely failed at her job.

Remember, in the government most appointees are politically based not whose the best person fie the job.
She is not clueless and she is not naive. She had extensive experience in both the Secret Service and as head of PepsiCo security. Some have dissed her for the PepsiCo gig but those statements truly are naive.

But this was a colossal fuck up. When it comes to her position it doesn't really matter to me what happened. She should be forced to resign now. She is the one ultimately responsible for this. It just never should have happened. If this was the military she would be responsible for her troops. Her troops fucked up. She failed in her leadership of them. The rest is only details and lessons for the future.

My views have NOTHING to do with her being a woman BTW. And I again criticize the absolute nonsense being said about the women on the Secret Service detail involved in this. The investigation may very well show that one or more of the females on this team fucked up. But they fucked up because they are people. Not because they are women and inferior to men.

Sounds like an institutional failure to me. Too many days between assassination attempts. Sounds like the perfect opportunity to reflect on the failures and see how they can change and improve. I’m not sure sacking Kimberly Cheatle will be helpful in fixing the problem.

I agree though, complacency can rear it’s ugly head in any scenario where you have to do the same thing over and over again.
She should be caned, just for stupid statement that the roof was too sloped and not safe for agents, then pictures of snipers on the same type roof and slope on another building in the area.

But Democrats won't fire her.

No way she should be fired. She's done a great job.

She has promoted DEI hires in the secret service and has lowered the qualifications for women hired by this agency. And you could see the result of this, watching several of the female agents running around during this assassination attempt, completely clueless. They were fumbling around with their sunglasses and one had a hard time putting her weapon back in her holster. One of the female agents even said "What are we doing here". And now I'm hearing that the agents have been ordered to keep their mouths shut and not talk to any one if they want to keep their jobs. So now the cover up begins. We need a completely independent commission to investigate what went wrong here and who needs to be fired. And not a commission appointed by the Biden administration but one appointed by Congress.

If it wasn't then whoever was in charge of creating and executing the operations plan for that venue should at least be demoted if not fired.

There were snipers from local police in building #2 on the second floor. They were looking at the stage area where Trump was speaking. The shooter was on the roof of building #1. There was a sweep of building #1 about 30 minutes before Trump started to speak. The building was never secured or blocked off from the public.

They are disputing the narrative that they were in charge

... So we'll surely have to wait and see how this plays out.

Yes, we will just have to wait and see how this plays out.

And when you point to videos and pictures they are all unverified and unvetted. And saying you "hear" things is just "hearsay." THis might be true that they were told to not talk to anyone. That would be SOP a lot of the time. There are multiple investigations ongoing and they don't want uncontrolled information causing problems and confusion.

Jesus people. Wait for the results of the damn investigation. You are not qualified to determine what happened here and neither are the twitter feeds and other sources you are using. Try being objective for once.
It seems new info is coming out by the hour.

With even what we know now, if Biden won’t fire this Bitch, it’s obvious he won’t fire ANYBODY.
