Scary, to say the least. Over there, anything can and do happen.
One way ticket, I bet.

You recognize these e-mails as spam, right? I get two dozen e-mails a day that are obvious spam from the subject titles alone (really, do hot Ukranian women want to guzzle my man juice?). Just block them and move on. Or ignore them. I do admit I find the subject titles amusing.

scam, pure and simple.
either just delete them from you inbox.
or string them along.
but it will take time/energy on your part to do so.
time/energy that, imho, would be better spent corresponding w/ guys here in dallas for encounters.

what kind of scam are they trying to pull? or what are they hoping to accomplish?

If you agree to make the trip, they will prepay with a money order, which they will ask you to cash then send the travel fees to the travel agency. Let's say you get paid $10,000, and the travel fees are $2000. You will cash the $12,000 money order at your bank and send the $2000 to the travel agency.

You won't hear from them but a month later your bank will inform you that the money order was counterfeit. So you're out the $2000 plus any bank fees.

It's just another advanced-fee fraud, one of many different variations. It's been going on for years.

Engineer Bojulay says don't do it.

Cool tie on Engineer Mark though.
He looks like a cut up.
Bet he gets lots of laughs from the other people on his train.

Was selling a car on CL about 4-5 years ago and was sent one of the typical spam emails.

But I decided to play along and created a temp email to use so I didn't give up my real one.

The check they sent me was as noted above, 2K more than the car value with the typical blah blah about an error and could I cash it and wire the money back.

Called the bank and informed them. Thy directed me to the FBI that told me that since the check was mailed from Canada, crossing our border meant they could not help.

Company it was drawn on was HUGE with a lot of cash in and out.

I was tempted to have some illegal take it and cash it for me but instead I simply have it framed in my office area.

Didn't cost me a dime, just time replying and cost the scammer at least a buck in postage so I guess I sort of won.

There are plenty of sites devoted to ways for screwing with those scammers.

Here's another example of how they get you to wire them money by sending you fake money orders:
