The most delectable candle suggestion(s)?

I love burning candles in my house and while entertaining. I appreciate the ambiance it brings when with a lover. Currently, my favorite brand is Circle E Candles that is located in Fredericksburg, Texas. They're plain, elegant and just have a most delightful smell. My favorite scent is soothing vanilla and I have a lot of compliments on it.

The website is http://circleecandles.com

But I would like to have more suggestions about candles especially those that can burn longer and have a heavier scent. I have found Tyler Candle Company to be nice (I know, the company is from Texas as well) but the candle gets a little too hot after about an hour or two and I feel it needs to be closely attended to.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Elisabeth

I used to get this wonderful smelling candle from Maggie's in the Woodlands. http://www.maggies.com/ It is there own special blend called Maggies Blend. http://www.maggies.com/candles.html It is unlike anyother candle I've ever burned. You can only get it at maggies, but you'll just LOVE it.

Thanks Colette!

I looked at the Maggie's Candle site and it has a sister site that listed all type of "elegant" type of candles. Thought you might like to visit it, if you haven't already.

But I'm going to order the maggie candle, first. I'm sure that it's fantastic!

Hugs,
Elisabeth

P.S. Have you considered a short trip to Dallas?

The bwarm is a rose scented massage candle that smells great, yet isn’t overpowering. The modern flexible holder allows the warm wax to easily be poured onto the skin. It massages in very nicely and leaves a light scent and your skin feeling amazing

My favorite scent comes when you've blown out all the candles.

Oddly it reminds me of childhood. Being in giant quiet European churches, the air chocked with incense.

I love candles too...and half the fun is trying out new ones!!
I just bought a couple before Christmas that I really love by sweet season.
The scent is red current and they are delicious. They come in a box so as to preserve the scent and I would buy them again in a heartbeat!!!

Hmmmm.....

Elisabeth

P.S. Speaking of candle dripping on body parts. Haven't done that in years. Any suggestions on type? Recently a heard it was the heat factor that was paramount. Thanks.

No one's mentioned Diptyque candles! They're fairly pricy for candles, but they smell like pure heaven. The Jasmin and Mimosa ones are my favorite. Fresh, light, and bright without being overwhelming in the least bit.
I too love candles. Tyler "French Market" is my favorite but they do burn a little too hot.

Tuberose is another one that is absolutely yummy!

Make sure the scent isn't too strong. We can't go home smelling like scented candles. LOL

I actually prefer a lightly scented candle over the woman wearing perfume.
Perfume can be really tough to wash off in a shower. Lightly scented candle fragrances typically don't cling to the clothes. Heavily scented might. I can't be standing in the laundry nude while I wash my clothes on the way home. LOL

Which would be harder to explain? Scented clothing or nude at the laundry? Tough choice!

I don't wear perfume and will usually use unscented candles for a romantic interlude. I actually like the smell of a man I'm attracted to, and the scent of sweat and desire in the midst of lust.

You know it's been great when you leave the room smelling like sex.
