Which ones are good? I have a station casino players card, but don't like the palms or red rock for gambling. I feel like my money lasts longer anywhere else on the strip. Is there others I should consider? Of course also with decent rooms and food that could be good for entertaining. Open to different players club also. Just trying to see what's off the strip since my benefits at my regular mgm casinos are ending.

SouthPoint Casino and Hotel is one of my favorites. Technically, it is on the strip as it is on Las Vegas Blvd. South, but it is about 1.5 - 2 miles south of the airport, so it's out of the way. It's got the casino and hotel, but also has a movie theater, bowling alley, bingo parlor, and five great places to eat, not counting the buffet and cafe. It's owned by the Gaughan family, who own the Orleans and used to own the Union Plaza downtown.

Oh good call! Forgot about that place, I got a VP royal flush there, and see their billboards, so been meaning to visit. I didn't know about the owner, curious how it's not the same players card as the Orleans then. Anyways, never stayed there but might consider it if they actually send me an offer. I guess I need to play more. Thanks
Southpoint is great! Big but not too big and they have a Steak n Shake! lol
There is also Palace Station, They've been renovation so the rooms may be updated!
Go to Southpoints Oyster bar if you like seafood! & what Ariel said about Steak ‘n Shake too lol
there is also Tuscany Suites, they have a casino and are "off the strip" there is also Fiesta and Green Valley Ranch in henderson
The Palms • Hard Rock • Green Valley Ranch • M Resort

Loved the spaghetti with chili at the Steak & Shake. Plus the margarita at happy hour upstairs in the mexican place is like $2.00 - to me, that is cheap. Used to be if you were from Omaha, you could stay for free at the Union Plaza when Jackie Gaughan ran the place. Now that his son runs all the properties, and seems to be more interested in his son's (Brandon Gaughan) racing career, those specials are no more.
I liked Tuscany and Green Valley Ranch. Done starvation and shoots at both and loved both. GVR has more stuff to do more choices for food.

If you're going to avoid Palms and Red Rocks, GVR and Sunset/Boulder/Texas/Palace/Santa Fe Stations are out. Include Fiestas and the smaller ones without hotels.
South Point is independent. I like it. Providers will go there with no issues.
Penn owns M Resorts and Tropicana. M is about twice as far from the strip as South Point but no problems with any reputable providers.
Boyd has a bunch of properties in Vegas. Downtown you have Main Street Station, California, and Fremont. Spread everywhere else is Orleans, Gold Coast, Suncoast, Sams Town, Cannery, Eastside Cannery, Alliante. They have a charter service to/from Hawaii so the downtown ones tend to favor them. Of the locals focused ones, I like Suncoast and Eastside Cannery. Orleans rates up there. Alliante is OK but it's way up north in North Las Vegas and it's a coin flip whether Alliante or Cannery is closer to the LV Speedway.
The two properties associated with the Stratosphere are the Arizona Charlies (Decatur sorta west of downtown and another on Boulder strip). Lower end properties compared to the rest.
Of the 2 indies east of the strip, Tuscany is nicer than Silver 7. Hard Rock Hotel is better than both. Westgate is somewhere in the middle.
If you consider non-casino properties, Artisan (across I-15 from Palace Station) is pretty decent. Rumor (across from Hard Rock Hotel) was equally nice but I believe it was sold to a new owner and I have no info how it's operating these days.
After that, you're looking at timeshare locations on and off the strip.
Think that covers 95% of what you'd consider.
The Rio and The Orleans are both off the Strip. Im told locals like The Orleans for gaming. Im clueless in that area however...lol
Coming to town next week and staying at The Rio.
The rooms at M resort are fantastic!!
I just got back from Vegas recently. I always stick to on the strip. Everything is closer and you save on the Uber. If you play a lot,TI has the best benefits although they are starting to shut it down a bit. They still offer the free rooms and suites but they used to offer free comps on food as well. Now they are starting to clamp down on the food comps.
I agree with Hard Rock and Tuscany. I love those places. The Tuscany is nice and quiet.
Lustfully naughty
