Good morning everyone! I will be visiting the Springfield area!! I am just wondering if you could help a girl out by telling me about some of the best places to eat while I am in town?! It would be a total plus if they are locally owned!! Also, is there any "must see or must visit" places in the area? Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you all. XOXO

The best and most bougie place is Metropolitan Grill. If ya like Italian, it's a toss up between Gillardi's or Avenzare. Best BBQ is gonna be either City Butcher, or Getting Basted.
Also on the bougie list would be Char, and Flame.

gotta go to the Bass Pro!!

also Kearney st cafe and also crosstown bbq

enjoy
I know a spa in Waynesville that would treat you like a queen! Even open the place on Sunday if you need
Hands down the best tacos are at "I Love Tacos TAQUERIA" It is a little shack right across from the Flying J

Also a cool place to go is Sequiota Park which has a small cave you can check out. Also that area has several good restaurants and shopping.

Saturday Morning the Farmers Market at Farmers Park is always a great place to check out with food trucks and different vendors.

Enjoy your stay!

Get a great steak and have them do it Pittsburg style, medium to med rare and charred on the outside. MMMMm... Also try the Jalepeno and candied bacon mashed as a side. Outstanding...

Not sure what type of food you're looking for but I will second City Butcher if you like BBQ. Crosstown went down hill years ago when the original owner died and his son took over, it has been trash for over a decade now.

Italian, I like DiGiacinto. Authentic Mexican Tortillas Perches.
