Long time reader, first time poster. Maybe its the alcohol but......
What do you people call texas toast in texas?

Do you still call it texas toast or do you just call it toast?

I really need an answer I have a bet going with someone.

I'm not the most representative Texan by a long shot, but I call it Texas Toast.

Texas Toast is just oversized slices of bread toasted.

It's just double the thickness and toasted because, let's face it, everything is bigger in Texas!

Yeah i figured you guys just called it toast since youre in texas and it just came standard as a bigger slice, and everybody else from other areas called it texas toast cause they arent from texas. I guess you guys do have two types of toast there. Dang the alcohol.

I thought you just called it toast. And it just came thicker that way. Where as if you were in another state you would have to ask for Texas toast. That’s funny you guys still have to ask for Texas toast rather than just it being standard.
