Quick question about referrals on my profile

So I was looking at my profile(because I'm bored and I have that kind of time, shut it) and I noticed a referrals box. Can providers leave a referral on my profile? That would help out a lot, since I don't hobby very often, so I always have to basically start at newbie status. Oh, for the record, I'm in a hotel at the galleria for the month if there is a close incall. I'd rather not play in the hotel I'm staying at, though.
