"Why LE wont just leave us alone and get the real criminals?"

I recently saw this post here: http://www.eccie.net/showpost.php?p=2117440&postcount=9

This made me laugh as I was just looking through the Houston alerts and see how many posts of:

- guys not leaving the donation
- Megan has a pimp
- Meghan is a cash and dash
- KenziDallas skipping after just 15 minutes
- Justice took the money and ran

No violence that I immediately see, but then you go to the Dallas alerts section and see:

- counterfeit money
- raped, beat, and robbed
- guy with a butcher knife
- Jmoor punched you in the face
- and of course Michael Wayne Jackson

And you wonder why LE won't leave this hobby alone?

The cops weren't called for most of these situations, so they really have nothing to do with it. Cops don't care you got shorted time by a girl. The don't care if a guy didn't pay to fuck you. And they don't care if she shows up takes the money you'd to pay to fuck her and jets. It's mainly the effect on society. Well that is the reason they use, along with preventing women from being exploited.

It would be better understood if LE was there to help in cases such as:

- counterfeit money
- raped, beat, and robbed
- guy with a butcher knife
- Jmoor punched you in the face
- and of course Michael Wayne Jackson

But the reality is, they are more concerned with coming after the ladies in most situations, not the real issues that they should address. In their eyes we are the problem. As I said in a previous post, I bet if one of the ladies called for one of the above reasons, she would be going to jail, if not, watched after that by LE.

It really is a shame, but that's the way it goes.
It goes back to the vices being wrong for everyone. It's easier to catch these activities than to stop and solve a crime or a robbery. It's one thing to get underage girls off the streets and away from trafficking. It's another if grown adults consent to companionship . Let adults do what they want, as long as they are not hurting one another.
if they found a way to regulate and tax prostitution, or 'companionship', it would be as legal as alcohol after Prohibition. ijs

I'm curious as to how often LE actually has sting operations like you see on the show cops. In all my years in the hobby I've only had two run ins. Neither of them were shops or stings.

As a matter of fact my two run ins I wasn't really hobbying but I was being accused of it. Didn't really make sense. Basically I asked a street provider where I could buy a pack of cigeretts when in dallas. Went to the store. Bought the cigs and came out to five cop cars. Provider sitting on the curb crying. Intimidated to the point she was admitting to a conversation swear to god we never had.

I never told em shit except deny deny deny. Hell it was the damn truth is the killer of the whole thing. After an hour they let me go. Anyone been caught in a sting?

It's because they are lazy and would rather give tickets, and go after us then dealing with the more important stuff. It's less reports for them to write. They'd rather chow down on donuts. The should be focusing on drug dealers because let's face it dealing drugs is worse than escorting. More people die from overdosing than they do sleeping around. Well...unless you're Gary Ridgeway, Lorenzo Gilyard or Aileen Wuornos. But my point is...they should focus on murders, rapes, terrorisms, thefts, child pornography, Illegal drugs/drug dealing, suicides, and even violence such as school bullying or harassment. They should start speaking at schools because bullying is the number one problem in schools right now, besides suicide, instead of setting up stings...and*yet they still continue to focus on us. It's a shame because*if they would handle all that then the crime rate would go down. Reaching out to kids and adolescents now is a proven fact for less crime and violence when they reach adulthood. If only cops had brains.

You know what helps me not get arrested very often? Not being a dumbass like most of these low life people walking around. Nobody here of course. I'm sure most hobbyist like myself are engineers, doctors, lawyers.... and cops. And lets face it, if you had to ask someone where to buy a pack of smokes...... you deserved to be detained.

Favorite quote from the movie Tommy Boy:

If you need assistance with your seat belt, ring your call button and our attendant will come hit you on the head with a tack hammer because you are a retard.

LE has always picked on the low fruit or easy to find crimes in the hobby such as the street girls. Back in the day, because Amazing John had like 5 Escape locations, it was easy to hit one guy to take down 5 places.

Which brings up the other factor in what LE goes after: the places that garner the most complaints. If someone or enough people complain about a particular spa for example, the police will most likely send someone in. Either to verify the complaint or get payed off. If there are news stories and crime reports revolving around Craig's List, something will give.

People in this country are generally tolerant, but don't want it in their face. Example, most straight peoples reaction to gays. And in Houston, I think LE is fairly tolerant towards the sex industry in general. Hence we still have tity bars, spas, and providers here that don't get harrassed too much (Note I didn't saw not at all). LE still needs to make a "show" of it and often do so for political reasons.

Another factor, alluded to a few paragraphs ago, is TV news doing "exposés" that leaves the cops embarrassed if they don't do anything about it. I wonder how long the SD/SB hitting all the news programs will backfire if the uptight types start protesting it. I realize its "legal" now, but I bet some fundamentalist legislator is thinking of a way to twart it or its growth.

You may not agree but many people are just doing what they are paid to do and besides, some of you are breaking the law lol.

Since people like me and you aren't breaking those laws it shouldn't be an issue.
