Socials, MnG's etc

Guys I've looked into the Eccie rules on Socials etc. Here they are!

Eccie will not be involved in any Socials, MnG's or the like on an organizational basis.

Members may announce a Social in a new thread and may place a email addy for other members to check in and then that thread will be locked so no posting can occur.

Of course, general conversation about socials etc is permitted but nothing beyond what is above when it comes to actually organizing one.

This seems like an excellent common sense policy.

Hmmm. . .that will be an interesting dynamic. With the thread locked once the first query is posted, there will not be any of the he said/she said, nor will there be a bunch of ghosting to see the invite list, or bulking/protesting based on the additions subtractions from a public RSVP.

I think I like this.

This is someone that hosts or sets up public meet & greets regularly. Although he's not in OH, maybe he could give you some insight. Or maybe take a look at some of his posts.
