Not.

Nine to nothing blow out in the first game.

It appears the shit birds have finally flown back home.

Sad, and the worst part, is, you know its going to be that way forever.
If the Pirates play in the forest and nobody is around to see it, did they still lose? Seriously, IMO the worst problem the team has is not that they suck; it’s that very few people seem to care anymore. If by some miracle they manage to put together another decent team, will people show up and support them, especially given the way they ripped their last decent team apart. Most MLB franchises are out there in the free agent and trade markets when they win 98 games and fall just short of a division title. Not our Buccos - time to get rid of 60% of your starting rotation and half your starting infield when that happens here.

They get enough attendance to make the owner money, and that is the only concern he has.

MLB needs to force an ownership change, and the players still have a grievance filed against him for low wages IIRC.

Its not fair to the fans to allow it to continue.

I have relatives in Washington PA, which had a minor leauge team, and they love the team, completely different than Pittsburgh, where nobody stays long enough to get to know them.

They signed Hayes to a 70 million dollar contract a day before the opener. He left the game after the first inning. He missed most of last year due to a wrist injury. Sports talking heads said he was stupid for taking such a low number. But hey, 70 million goes a long way.
