Chattanooga?

So I may be headed down there for a few days in late September. How is the hobby scene in that area?

If I only do one session, who would be on the "Do Not Miss" list?
Post this question in Alabama also.

Atlanta is only 90 minutes away? Hmmm. . .maybe I can talk Ansley into re-considering meeting me if I will be that close.

She will probably turn me down, though.

Do you ever travel from Memphis, Babee? How long of a drive is it? I have to be down their on business, but maybe i can flex my schedule a bit.

Ya know you gotta get Moon Pies in Chatt, right?
Moon Pies and RC Cola..mmm..mmm...good! (my inner hick is showing)
Chickamauga Battlefield, The Aquarium, The Incline, Ruby Falls, Rock City is cool but geared to kids - the swinging bridge is very scary. Downtown revitalized - great area w/lots going on. If you're not from a mountainous region, just driving around that area is beautiful. Lots of scenic drives along ridge tops (on old narrow 2 lanes). Lots of Cherokee history since John Ogelthorpe was from there - Ft. Ogelthorpe, GA (suburb). The Ocoee if you're adventurous/naturalist. And can swim! Category III & IV whitewater. (Atlanta Olympics site). Heard they have ziplines now too. Lots to do, beautiful area.

Chattanooga is awesome. I did all of the above that Babee touched on, and went hang gliding off lookout mountain. I had SEVERAL guys come from Alabama and Dalton, Ga. The Chattanoogian is an awesome hotel if you like swank, and the Chattanooga Choo Choo is not so great as far as rooms, but the surroundings are stellar. You can get a train car room right in the gardens, dine at 5 restaurants right on the property, and the shuttle will take you most anywhere.

I went there as a child for vacation and just had to go back. First thing my dad asked was, "Do the rooms still suck" lol. It's not a good provider hotel unless you stay in a train car. All the other rooms have the stupid key card entry which makes it really hard not to look obvious by meeting your suitors at the door.

katespinner is one of my favorite girls who tours there frequently and of course you can't go wrong with Dallas hehe.
I am a local lady to the Chattanooga area. Very legit and safe, and not to hard on the eyes either.

Yes you are awesome Sierra with many glowing reviews. I was thinking more along the lines of touring providers, but always admired your presense and photos.
Wow London! You go girl I didn't know they were doing hang gliding off L.O.

I've jumped off a 101st Airborne training tower, bungeed off a hot air balloon (dare-winter/Nash/bikini/a lil drunk), parasailed in Cancun, tandem jumped, airplane & helo rides..but I gotta tell ya' - hang gliding terrifies me. Love that you did that.
I like to visit Chattanooga

I haven't been in forever though!

The Chattanoogan is awesome, I stayed there when they first opened years ago! So many memories .........

I almost moved there back in 2002....

Thank you, ladies. I will be in touch as soon as the business trip details firm up. I want to do at least one session while in town. Sadly, I don't get a choice in the hotel--I usually have to stay in whatever hotel the conference I am speaking at is being held, so I may have to miss the Chatanoogan. I will definitely visit some of the sites mentioned while in town.

Funny you said that Babee because I have 6 tandem sky dives, and compared to that hang gliding is a cake walk. The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't actually "jump off" the mountain. You were towed up as in taking off behind the plane in the damm glider. Scary as hell! Then at 2000 ft. they cut your butt loose lol.

They don't do tandems from the actual jump off point because it's too much weight to deal with, and the wind has to be just perfect. Only thing I have yet to do is snow ski...properly lol. My bucket list is almost finished with the extreme sports, but many places I still want to travel to. Hmmm if I play my cards right I can see them all for free lol.
